The post itself is non-conductive.
There is no need for Insulators. Simply drill a hole
and insert a cotter pin for wire attachment. Cotter
pin is 5-1/2", 13 ga, with a class III coating. A
note about hole drilling: We have predrilled a
few orders of posts, however, of the large number of
posts that have gone in the ground almost
ALL of them have been drilled in the field by the
customer. They drill easily, with no bit run-off.
Overall customer feedback is that it probably takes
less time to drill these posts in the field than it
does to fit an insulator to a steel t-post. We feel
that too many predrilled holes in a post will weaken
its overall strength. Field drilling also allows you
to compensate for terrain challenges
